Leah 039
There is nothing special about this nameless pair of bifocal glasses from the 1980's except the narrow, high frame. The glasses were first featured in one of my photo shoots with Astrid (361) but they really surfaced a year later when an amateur model called Claudine agreed to pose for me. Claudine, a friendly lady in her forties, was a challenge because of her extremely narrow face. I really had to go through my entire collection in search for glasses that might suit her. Leah's face is not narrow but her PD is the same as Claudine so it made sense to check the glasses used during the photo shoot with Claudine. These bifocals were an obvious candidate so I brought them over to Ireland. Leah kindly agreed to give them a try and bingo.... From a timeless optician's point of view, these indifferent glasses would be among the best, if not the perfect match. Glasses can be art works all by themselves but be it remembered, they are just a complementary element on a lady's face. Leah had the perfect styling to make the simple frame shine all the more - hair tied up, the pearl chain, the classic dress. Mission accomplished!
