Alran were a company based in Pforzheim, Germany since the late 1950's and possibly earlier. They designed and manufactured glasses until the mid 1970's. My collection hosts several pairs made by Alran and this is the earliest example. These glasses were made during the cat eye era and a good example of how the style was adapted for clients wishing to follow trends but without extravaganza.
