The famous Silhouette company from Austria has been in business since 1964 and unlike Dior, gradually conquered the world. Like Dior, Silhouette gave their frames an individual yet consistent style which could be recognized straightaway, even when seen from the far end of the street. My collection hosts over a hundred Silhouette glasses from the heyday of frame design in the 1970's and 1980's. Here Colleen is showing a fine example. The frame nicely follows the model's eyebrow line and the lenses are a very weak minus so they gave Colleen fair eyesight.
