Colleen 011



These Essel glasses are a bit of a mystery to me. They were made in the 1960's when glasses were quite expensive and as a rule, only bought when they were really needed. Yet the Rx of the lenses is only +0.25. Even nowadays, opticians would not advice their clients to buy a pair of glasses for such a minimal prescription. My guess is that this Essel pair was bought by a lady with "a thing about glasses" who wanted to have a different look available whenever the humour struck her.
