Beata 020
For the recent journey to Ireland I brought along some 140 prescription glasses and - against normal procedure - a handful of empty frames as these did not need to be put in the hand luggage. With the exception of Bonnie, the Irish models who agreed to do a photo shoot only had a very mild prescription or even no prescription at all. I have a shoe box filled with beautiful frames waiting to be fitted with lenses and this Ralph Lauren frame was one of the best in that box. It seemed perfect for Beata and indeed, she was delighted when she saw it during the selection process in the Strand Hotel. Once arrived in the gardens of Bunratty Castle, I requested that Beata would point her fingers through the empty space where the lenses should be - simply to show how ridiculous photos of models in empty frames really are. Beata was all in for the joke and she managed some really funny portraits but alas, none of these came out sharp enough to be posted here. All that could be used were two fine examples of serious posing by Beata. The intended joke will have to wait....
