A lovely portrait of Bonnie adjusting the "Agatha Christie" cat eye glasses in People's Park, Limerick, Ireland. Agatha Christie was a famous detective writer from the generation of my grandparents and she was wearing cat eye glasses very similar to the nameless pair shown here by Bonnie. The glasses are every inch the style of the late 1950's but it's likely that they were made at a later stage. Many elderly ladies could be seen sporting cat eye glasses in the UK and Ireland, long after the style had gone out of fashion. Circle shaped reading segments did not appear in Holland until around 1970 so this pair may be a remake from the 1970's. The lenses are a touch above the model's own prescription.
