Concentrated posing by Iris in contemporary myodisc glasses from China. The "Formlenti" effect is clearly visible. Only the central part of the lens has the extreme Rx required. It's surrounded by a plano carrier lens. Note the sharp demarcation between the central part and the carrier lens and especially the way this demarcation neatly follows the shape of the frame.

Minus sixteen is an extreme prescription. The image of the model's eyes is reduced with one third (2% per diopter) in comparison with her bare eyed portraits.

These Bailingguizu glasses from China were sent to me by Stefan from Bavaria, a photographer whose work with iconic model Sandra was highly inspirational to me before starting with my own project. My other sources of inspiration in portrait photography were Alain from Paris and Konstantin from Moscow.
In this and the preceding portrait, Iris is wearing these contemporary glasses halfway her nose, as if they are readers. The lenses are in fact a remake of the "Formlenti" mentioned in the previous series.
