Jade 007

The first owner of these Metzler bifocals was probably a blonde or grey haired lady in her fifties but the frame is equally suitable for a young face. Here Jade is checking the far end of the gardens in her new role as a temporary shortsighted young lady, looking over the circle shaped reading segments.

These discrete Metzler glasses were featured in three early photo shoots (Astrid 230, Hiska 033, Marieke 006) and then kind of forgotten about. They surfaced in January during the preparations for the five photo shoots in Paris, with a model called Mia in mind. When studying Jade's splendid portfolio, it struck me that some of the discrete glasses used by Mia might work great for Jade.

The first part of each photo shoot is about glasses near the model's own prescription. Jade is blessed with perfect eyesight and she never needed a visit to an optician in her life. With this in mind, I selected glasses for her with very mild prescriptions to ensure a gentle start. Even so, it was a completely new experience for Jade and it took her a couple of minutes to get used to look through prescription lenses.

These elegant Zeiss glasses were featured in a photo shoot done in Paris six months ago (Mia 091) but the frame was a touch on the wide side for the model. No such problem here for lovely Jade who has the right PD for this frame.

These Zeiss glasses from Germany are a fairly recent addition to my collection. They were given to me by the mother of a tall blonde model called Esther who posed for me in 2011.
