Farishta 784
Infinite Perfection is not exactly a modest name for a pair of glasses. This pair was acquired in a Welsh charity shop some fifteen years ago but this is the first time these glasses are featured in a photo shoot. The colors are ideally suitable for brunettes. When Farishta saw them on the table for the selection process, she instantly liked these glasses. Light conditions were not in favor for "en face" photography at the start of this photo shoot. In combination with the rather extreme prescription in the lenses, this lead to a cross-eyed but sweet portrait.

A week before the new photo shoot with Farishta, I came across a suitable location near Nel's place. There was a major renovation job going on in a former ice cream factory and the new owner kindly allowed me to use the building for the photo shoot. Farishta usually prefers outdoor shooting but when she saw the premises, she was all go for it.

These striking bifocals by Invicta are called "Master class" and quite deservedly so. Acquired in Wales near the turn of the Millennium, they were only featured in one previous photo shoot.

"Can you tell me what you are seeing through these glasses? Take your time"
"I can see a bit better than without glasses but it's not sharp yet. And there is a lot of reflection. But the frame is beautiful. I like the shape of the arms"
"They are so called drop temple glasses. The style was quite popular in the 1980's but they have long disappeared from the streets. A great pity. And you are right about the reflection. Nowadays, all prescription lenses have anti-reflective coating. Back then, you had to pay extra for that. The Irish lady probably decided to keep the money in her pocket. Shall we try another pair?"
"Yes, please. It sounds as if I am getting a free lecture about the history of glasses. But I can't feel any magic yet"
"Ah, not to worry. That will come as we proceed. The stronger the glasses, the more magic"
