Leah 158

These tiny but refined Zenni glasses were bought three years ago, after receiving a couple of reactions from high myopic ladies on a newspaper article about my up coming exhibition of portrait photography. One of the models was Petra and we did a fine photo shoot in a park. The other model sent me her prescription which was -11.00 / -11.75. As she was seven months pregnant at the time and looked quite tired, I suggested that we could do her photo shoot after her baby was born. Knowing her preference for small glasses, I ordered two Zenni pairs in her prescription. Unfortunately, the photo shoot never took place because her child was born in a severely handicapped condition.

The glasses were subsequently used in several photo shoots for my second weblog (e.g. Karen 277, Jolien 204, Marieke 291, LĂ©onne 184). They came handy again during my photo shoot with Claudine, a model with a small PD. Claudine is a lady in her forties but most opticians advised her to choose a frame for children because of the PD. Needless to say, Claudine did not like that sort of easy advice so she was quite interested in doing a photo shoot for me. After seeing the portraits, she chose these Zenni glasses for use in everyday life. With this in mind, I brought the glasses to Ireland. Meanwhile, fashion has changed and small frames are out, but Leah kindly agreed to pose in them anyway. It yielded a good series and in my opinion, the glasses - especially the oval eyebrow line in the frame - suited Leah quite well. Her posing is great.
